RICE Scoring

RICE scoring (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Ease) mirrors how social insects allocate colony resources. When honeybee scouts discover nectar sources, they perform waggle dances encoding RICE data: Reach (flower patch size), Impact (nectar concentration), Confidence (dance vigor reflects certainty), and Ease (distance/energy cost). The hive allocates foragers proportionally to each source's RICE score. This distributed decision-making system optimizes resource allocation without centralized planning.
