So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
The one where Arthur Dent finds love and the dolphins were right all along
"For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen."
— Douglas Adams
My Review
A love story! In the Hitchhiker's series! Still no business insights though. The dolphins knew everything was doomed and left a polite note. There's probably a metaphor about early warning signals in there somewhere, but I refuse to draw it. Read it because love is nice and dolphins are clever.
Why It Matters
Fine. FINE. The dolphins leaving before the Earth was destroyed could be seen as a signal detection case study. But I'm not making that connection officially. This is a love story. Let it be a love story.
Key Ideas
- Dolphins are smarter than humans and knew when to leave
- Sometimes the world ends and then it's fine again
- Love can be found in the strangest circumstances
- God's final message to His creation is worth the journey
How It Connects to This Framework
Your heart, if you have one. Nothing else.
