Zone 80 corresponds to Al Shahaniya Municipality, which split from Al Rayyan in 2014 as Qatar's westernmost district. Part of the 98-zone administrative system, it demonstrates how rapid growth forces boundary redrawing. With 35,393 people (2010 census), it represents peripheral development—far enough from Doha that density drops but close enough that administrative organization was necessary. Districts like Al Khurayb, Al Samriya, Lehsiniya, and Umm Leghab fall within Zone 80's boundaries.
