Tribes

Biological Parallel
Wolf packs aren't random collections—they're tribes bound by kinship, shared territory, coordinated hunting, and collective defense. Tribes solve problems individuals can't: taking down elk, defending kills, raising pups. Humans inherit this tribal architecture: we join groups with shared identity, goals, and enemies. Modern tribes (brands, movements, communities) exploit ancient coalition-building instincts. Leadership isn't authority—it's the ability to align individual incentives with collective success. Tribes survive when membership creates multiplicative value.
