ATA Airlines
ATA Airlines' 2008 closure ended a low-cost carrier that had pioneered cheap flights from the Midwest. The company filed bankruptcy in 2004, emerged as Southwest Airlines' partner, then collapsed when Southwest ended the partnership. Without Southwest's connecting passengers, ATA couldn't fill planes. The company demonstrated the danger of single-partner dependency - when that partner left, nothing remained.
